Robert Pattinson in the lead role in „Penguin”

Synopsis

Following the events of Batman (2022), Oz Cobb, aka The Penguin, plays a game to take control of Gotham’s underworld. Aside from the bat sign in the last frame of the season finale, we never met. In this short video IMDb tries to answer: Where the hell was Batman? Colin Farrell tried hard to get his version of the penguin to smoke in Batman (2022), but failed.

However, for his own series, the character is described as a casual smoker who likes cigars. The umbrella falls and the logo changes to the Warner Bros. logo. Featured in Graham Norton and guests: Lady Gaga/Demi Moore/Colin Farrell/Richard Ayoade/Jack Savoretti (2024).

He is impressive

Farrell STEALS this series. There is nothing about the character that even hints at Farrell. The NY accent, the sway and limp, the attitude: you’d swear it was a different person. Amazing prosthetics are very realistic and add to the character.

Well written and suspenseful

The play is serious and picturesque. There is nothing cartoonish about it. This is a great counter to Christopher Nolan’s Batman. In fact, I’d say this blows the Marvel line out of the water.

It’s a shame

I hope there could be a second season, but I know this is limited. HBO has a legitimate shot. Check out our 'Yellowstone’ list; Season 5, Episode 2, „The Squid Game”; Season 2 and many of the most anticipated new and reruns on TV and streaming.
