Synopsis

Alana Higman, a die-hard Kansas City Chiefs fan, and her family are competing in the team’s Fan of the Year competition. Enjoy happy endings with this year’s lineup of holiday-themed romantic movies available to watch from the comfort of your home. The movie was shot in historic Independence Square in Independence, Missouri, which actually looks like this year-round.

But I’m sorry, that was a bust

The filming locations that served as the Higman family store and Norma and Nick’s BBQ restaurant are also family-owned businesses in real life. The square also has Christmas lights just like in the movie. So… I’m a Chiefs fan; I’m a Hunter King and Tyler Hines fan.

They really made it very serious

I wish I could stop here, but sadly I have to elaborate. If you’re not a Chiefs fan, I don’t know how you make it to the end of a movie like this. I didn’t think the chemistry between Hines and King was strong at all.

was pretty good as the grumpy old man

The script was so-so and the overall plot was a little odd. I liked the supporting cast and Ed Begley Jr. I found it interesting that there was a scene in a Hallmark movie where the whole family was getting stuffed with eggnog.
